It all started at Lemons Home Hardware, when Dylan walked in to purchase some hornet spray for his house on Main Street. Never in a million years did I think I would meet the love of my life at my fathers hardware store, Dylan caught my eye right away when I saw him outside having a conversation with someone. I stopped what I was doing and immediately asked my father "who is the cute guy in the cowboy boots outside" dad laughed at me and said "He's a young fella who just moved here from Sussex". Me being me I went right up to Dylan when he came in and asked him if he needed help with anything, I guess I caught him off guard with my charming looks ;) because he stuttered and said "horrrnnneeettt spray". Ironically I never saw him into the store again after that (he says I scared him away) . I asked around town and found out his name and followed him on instagram. Shortly after he messaged and said "Home Hardware Girl?" I replied to him and said "yup that's me!" and there was no response after that. A few months passed and I decided you know what I'm going to message him again, I flirted a little bit but he didn't bite at it, the flirting went right over his head!! At the end of it two weeks later I was blunt and asked him to hangout as I was interested. After that we became inseparable, he spent many hours at the barn with me in the freezing cold as it was dead middle of winter. 6 months went by and I went on a trip out west with my mom and Brittany to visit some family and attend the Stampede. That week was the longest week of our lives as it was the longest we had gone without seeing each other. It wasn't shortly after I arrived home we went and viewed our current house and began our solid future together, we moved into our place in September of 2022 and made it our own. A year and a bit went by, my birthday was approaching and he said he booked us a special place in Blackville to go stay at for the night. it was absolutely beautiful. A light house turned into an air BNB right on the river, we enjoyed our day in the wood fire hot tub, played a couple of board games then all the sudden he goes " I have one more gift for you one second" next thing I know he is down on one knee asking me to marry him! No questions asked I immediately said YES!!!! Here we are almost 4 years later getting ready to say "I do" and enjoying life with our beautiful daughter Lainey.
