Our Wedding

Gunnar and Marley met during high school as she played on the field hockey team and he was the team's manager. While they knew each other, they weren't really close until Marley's sophomore year when she broke her toe and had to sit out from practice. During this time Marley started helping Gunnar at practices and they soon became friends. From sharing snacks, developing inside jokes, and spending more time together; this friendship soon turned into something more and they started dating in 2016. Since then the happy couple has spent many years long distance but their love has grown stronger because of it. From moving to Blacksburg and back, getting new jobs, and even moving out of state has helped the couple to refine their relationship into what it is today. Over the last eight (almost nine!) years together Marley and Gunnar have had many movie dates, inside jokes, and have grown their love for each other. They are so excited for this next chapter in life!

Shayla and Marley have been friends since middle school which means that they've seen each other through some embarrassing times. From fangirling over their favorite boy bands, to nerding out over books, Shayla and the bride have been inseparable since 2012!

Aj has known the bride and groom since before they started dating and had a hand in introducing them. A mutual friend who has seen the couple through some of their best moments!

The bride met Sam at Virginia Tech through their shared love for science, clubs, and floral design. Having early 8am lectures together to late night club meetings, Marley could not imagine getting through undergrad without Sam, and is so excited to have her support on this big day!

A friend of the groom since middle school and later roommate at Virginia Tech. When the bride and groom started dating Hunter always joked that he'd be the officiant at their wedding. While he may not be officiating he's still supporting from the groom's side!

Elizabeth and Marley met during undergrad at Virginia Tech through the Class of 2023, but didn't become besties until their Master's Program. Through their love for all things Hokies, late night girl dinners, and study sessions the bride and Elizabeth have been thick as thieves since!

Jonny and Gunnar have been close friends since high school where they played soccer together. Their friendship has continued to grow over the years and the groom couldn't imagine this day without Jonny's support!
