Sev is the light of Marni's life (sorry Alex) and one of her long-time friends who has been by her side through good and bad, in sickness and in heath, for better or worse...and forever! (I do) In the wise words of Jenna Marbles in regards to Marni's wedding: HEYULL YEAH!

Samara Markle (Sami) has known Alex and Marni since early 2020 when all three of them were in the production of Shrek the Musical. Both of them kept her sane through the pandemic through game nights and lots of laughs. She sends her love and congratulations to the amazing duo!

Katie is one of Marni's cousins.

Nikki has known Alex since high school and is one of her husbands best friends. The day she met Marni she discovered their shared love of tequila and the rest is history. She is so glad Alex met Marni!

Marissa first met Marni at Edwards Hines VA Hospital in Illinois where they both were completing the Medical Technology Scientist program. They were paired as lab partners and endured 11 months of non-stop studying together. Besides all the studying they learned that they were becoming fast friends.

Emma met Marni while working in the microbiology department at Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratory in Milwaukee. Emma and Marni started on 3rd shift together and quickly bonded over their sense of humor, love for musicals, and the free mimosas after work with Haley. Soon after Emma met Marni, Marni became a friend that Emma knew she could rely on, laugh with, and vent to anytime. Emma is ecstatic to be standing by her side on her and Alex's special day. If there is anything Emma has learned in the past year, is that her life is richer with Marni in it.

Kollin met Alex in middle school and grew up as friends while singing in show choir and playing football in high school. As time passed, they entered college and Kollin transferred to UWSP. Alex was already taking classes and they roomed together. They later graduated, remarkably, and started their next chapter while never really leaving each others lives. Alex and Kollin share a passion for all things nerdy and now he can't wait to celebrate Alex and the woman that is willing to take on this manchild. Kollin is honored to be apart of Alex and Marni's big day!

Tim met Alex in college freshman year and have been friends ever since. One day he was sitting in his room with the door open playing Worms by himself after a long day of classes. Halfway through the round a giant burst into the room screaming, "Is tHis WOrMs!? Dude let me go get my cereal!!" Tim had no idea what happened or who that was, so he just waited. The guy came back with a full popcorn bowl of captain crunch, sat down on the ground and said, "My name is Alex, when can I play?" Since that day they have become family with all of the friends from freshman year. They push each other on the disc golf course, to make great shots and will never let the other forget when they miss within 10 feet saying, "do I have to putt this? No one misses this close!" They play board games, talk D&D and get each other into their preferred TCG. There is never a dull moment when they hang out and Tim plans to live in a nursing home with Alex one day. Tim met Marni when she was Teen Fiona in Shrek the Musical, it was after the musical that both her and Alex were in, but come on what a perfect way to make a first impression. Tim heard about Marni and Alex was really excited to introduce us to her. Since then, the freshman group has hung out and Marni has fit in perfectly into the found family. Tim and Marni have spent long nights talking about whatever comes to mind and it feels like Tim has known her just as long as he has known Alex. Marni and Alex compliment each other in the best ways, they are both just as funny as each other and push each other competitively in whatever they play. Tim is so excited to celebrate with them!

Matt is 22 years old and attends the University of Minnesota for Computer Science. He is one of Marni's cousins and has been close with her his whole life. Their extended family is always together for the holidays and they basically grew up together. Alex is cool too, he guesses!

Dan was on a pre-deployment leave in 2006 when he first met Alex while giving a presentation about the military to Alex's middle school class. It wasn't until Dan moved to Wisconsin in 2013 and Alex was in college, that the friendship really started to grow. Since then they have gone to concerts like Country USA and hung out together at bars drinking wisconsibly . On many occasions they would end up at the Leg Lamp Lounge downtown Appleton, so Alex could show off his dancing skills. Their friendship has remained strong throughout the years and life changes, like when Alex moved away to teach, and Dan was excited to meet Marni when she and Alex started dating. Dan was honored to be asked to stand up with Alex on his wedding day and happily accepted being one of his groomsmen and wishes the happy couple all the best.

Alex and Tom have known each other since freshman year of high school. They both were fortunate enough to go to fat guy running camp, which really helped, as you all can see! They didn't become friends until they went off to college. Alex sent a message to the friend group to get together after a break up, but Tom was the only one free. Tom thinks that is when Alex fallen in love with him, and Tom has not been able to get rid of him since! Tom had to sing obsessed by Mariah Carey and turned Alex down. Tom thinks because of his inability to hold a pitch, it did the trick in turning the soon to be choir teacher away from his embrace. Now, Alex is Marni's problem, so good luck.

Jacob first met Alex in 2015 (or was it 2016?) when Alex was student teaching in Iola-Scandinavia School District and living in Stevens Point and they have been friends ever since. Jacob is very excited to be able to be a part of Alex and Marni's big day!

Kaelyn first met Alex in college and they reconnected post-graduation when Kaelyn first began dating her husband, Jacob Martin. Alex was Jacobs student teacher for a semester and they continued their friendship from there. The 4 of them have been known to have some fantastic double dates; from enjoying jousting tournaments at Bristol Renaissance Fair to admiring the scenery, lights, and hot cocoa at the Garden of Lights in Green Bay. Kaelyn is so honored to be able to celebrate the love of these two wonderful people. Congratulations Alex and Marni!

Andy is 35 years old and is a photographer in the Appleton area. He is Alex's older, yet shorter brother. Andy met Marni in 2020 after the production of Shrek the Musical that they were both in. Alex and Marni getting married means that Andy is the happiest person ever and that he gains a sister-in-law he never had before. Congratulations Alex and Marni!

Grace is Marni's youngest cousin and personal attendant at her wedding. Marni has always been such an inspiration to Grace and is the reason she is so involved in theatre today.
