Matt and Marnie met in the fall of 2019 when their friend, Courtney (who Marnie met in choir at FPU), invited Marnie to play pool with her then boyfriend (now husband) and their friend (Matt). They quickly became good friends. Pre-COVID, she would drive around with him as he delivered flowers at night. During COVID, they hung out on Discord with some of their friends. Post-COVID, he got her into playing Magic the Gathering, which is now something that they both enjoy. They began dating in 2022 thanks to their friend Trini, who pushed the two of them together. They’ve been going strong ever since. They love going to concerts, playing Magic, going to the movies, trying new restaurants, cooking together, and spending time being couch people. Matt proposed August 19, 2023 at the Japanese Gardens in Woodward Park and obviously, Marnie said yes! They’re extremely excited to get married September of 2024.
