Nathan and Martha met in the summer of 2018, on orientation day for Tufts veterinary students. Their last names, close in alphabetical order, placed them in the same anatomy lab group. They bonded over a love for "The Office" TV series after Nate learned that Scranton PA not only exists, but is the city where Martha was born and raised. Their connection was immediate - a lab partnership became a close friendship, then quickly became much more. Despite the fact that Nate tried to steal Martha's hand soap the first time he was invited to her house, and she served expired sake on their first dinner date, they fell in love. They stuck together through 4 grueling years of vet school, through Martha beginning her career as a general practitioner for small animals, and through Nate's rotating internship and 3 years of radiology residency. They've adopted and raised a Trash Cat (formerly named Cosette) and 4 precious pet rats together (may they rest in peace in rodent heaven). Now - finally - the vets are getting married.
