How did Brennar and Martha Lane first meet?
Brennar met Martha Lane through her grandparents. He was charged with selecting the guest speaker for his Infantry School Graduation. He reached out to COL (Ret.) Puckett, Martha Lane's grandfather, as a potential candidate. Although, he did not end up speaking at Brennar's graduation, they met and began a friendship. That friendship between Brennar and the Puckett's would grow into a recommendation that Brennar meet Martha Lane. They met in April 2024 in Columbus, GA where they had their first date.
Where did Brennar and Martha Lane go on their first date?
Brennar and Martha Lane went out to dinner in Columbus, GA a the Hotel Indigo's Rooftop bar and restaurant. The rooftop bar has a beautiful view of the riverwalk downtown and the sunset at the right time of day. Afterwards, they took a stroll on the Frank Martin Pedestrian Bridge - Martha Lane's Great Uncle, where they had their first kiss.
How did Brennar propose?
Both Brennar and Martha Lane were scheduled to be in France for work in September 2024. Brennar took the opportunity, and planned the perfect trip. Martha Lane would finish up her work trip in Marseille and meet up with Brennar in Lyon. They spent the weekend at Rolling Swing. Afterwards, they headed to Paris for the week. For their first full day in Paris, Brennar had booked a day trip to Normandy. Both had never been, and it was on their bucket list. Brennar, knowing that he was going to propose, dressed up for the occasion. Martha Lane, dressing for a walking tour, insisted on tennis shoes and sweatshirt attire-giving Brennar a rough time all morning regarding his choice of attire. When it came time for photos on the beach, Brennar insisted Martha Lane remove her white sneakers. It was at that time he knelt down on one knee and proposed on the beach.
