On the eve of Jordan's 28th birthday, he was out celebrating with some buddies at the highly acclaimed Bandit.

Serendipitously, Martha was also enjoying margaritas (and dinner) at Bandit with one of Jordan's old co-workers, Sloan. When Jordan went to the bathroom, he saw them, and they casually exchanged greetings. Jordan mentioned that they should meet at the bar after dinner!

Sloan, being the wonderful friend she is, was really talking up Martha as she introduced her to Jordan. Martha had no idea Jordan was even paying attention, but since it was Jordan's birthday, Martha offered to buy him a shot to help celebrate and wish him a wonderful year! Then Jordan asked for Martha's phone number, and for some reason, she did not give it to him. (I honestly cannot remember why; I think, I thought he was joking:))

After meeting at Bandit, Jordan followed Martha on Instagram and slid into her DMs. Martha still wasn't catching on that Jordan was trying to ask her out. A few weeks later, Martha and Sloan were hanging out again, and a light bulb went off for Sloan, who said, "You should go out with Jordan!"

Jordan finally received Martha's number, and the rest is history! The second time they spent time together was at Muske Fest at Wills Northwoods (a favorite spot for both), and it felt like they had known each other forever.

Martha says he makes every day the best day, and she is so grateful he is her person. :)
