Onyeka and Martin met on June 27th, 2022 on the beautiful island of Hvar, Croatia while on vacation with each of their best friends. Onyeka was laying on a day bed with her best friend Sarah sipping on a mojito when Martin and his best friend Jacob came and took the day bed next to them. The first time Martin tried talking to Onyeka, she didn't hear him over the ocean waves and he initially thought she was ignoring him LOL. Luckily he decided to try again and this time she responded with a smile. Small talk turned into dinner 2 days later and after a wonderful meal, they went their separate ways, expecting to never see each other again.

Over the next few days, Martin and Onyeka consistently spoke on Instagram and one week later he invited her to a trip to Ibizia (which she politely declined). Well, Martin did not let up and continued to pursue Onyeka for the next month and decided to invite her to a work trip in Monaco at the end of August. After a few weeks of consideration, she accepted his invitation. In the month leading up to the trip, they spoke on the phone every single day (at times for hours) and started to fall in love!

Onyeka and Martin met face to face again in the airport in Nice, France and immediately knew they were meant for each other. After their amazing week in the south of France, Martin came to Dallas to meet Onyeka's friends and family and after that trip they knew they were each other's forever.

Although Martin was living 5000 miles away in Copenhagen, Denmark, he made an effort to visit Dallas every month and despite the challenges of being in a long distance relationship, their love continued to grow! In March 2023 Martin asked Onyeka's father for her hand marriage and proposed to her in Cartagena, Colombia on April 8th, 2024. Martin now lives in Dallas full time and the two of them are so happy to have to started their lives together in Texas!
