CONSTRUCTION ALERT: The lower lever of the Des Moines Playhouse is currently under construction! The construction will not impact our ceremony, but the project is taking up a portion of the parking lot. There should be enough parking for everyone between the usable portion of the parking lot and nearby city streets. All guests will need to enter the building using the front doors on 42nd Avenue! A receiving line were the couple says hello to everyone for two seconds a piece isn't really our style. Join us for the world's first receiving line bar crawl! Ingersoll Avenue in Des Moines is home to many iconic Des Moines watering holes, ranging from cocktail bars to beautifully dingy dives. Feel free to pick one place and hang out- we will hit all three at the times below! 3:30 PM - Wellman's Pub (Bar) 4:15 PM - Alpine Taproom (Cash Only Dive) 5:00 PM - Juniper Moon (Cocktail Lounge)

Guests are welcome to arrive at the venue any time after 5:30, to grab a drink and start eating. The couple will make their *grand entrance* at 6:00 with speeches and dancing to follow! We will be serving a meal of hot appetizers and charcuterie with an open bar of wine, beer, seltzer, and non-alcoholic options. The event space is on the third floor of the Teachout Building and shares an entrance with Up-Down Arcade Bar. Rather than taking a left into Up-Down, go straight where you will find the elevator and stairs!
