I met Mary Ann when I started working for the Catnolic Newman Center in Platteville; as soon as we realized our mutual love of books, musicals, and various other nerdy things, I knew we were going to be the best of friends. Mary Ann has been a huge supporter and source of joy for me and my family over the years, so it's such a joy to get to be present for her and Robert as they prepare to start this next chapter of their lives together!

Hi my name is Samuel Tarman. I am Robert's cousin, but I think more of him as a brother. I would spend summers hanging out with him and his family and basically was a third child of Aunt Carrie (my Godmother). I would constantly play video games on the computer with him, Uncle Brian and my Dad. Those were the days of Left for Dead, Team Fortress, and any other co-op game that had bundle deals at the time. We eventually started venturing out into board games and if you've been to Roberts house you know what that has now spiraled into. Gaming has always been a big part of doing something together. But I also did Boy Scouts and actually went outside and played with him there too. University is when things turned back to staying inside and ever since. I've always had Robert in my life and I've truly been blessed for that fact. As for facts on myself, I graduated from UW Milwaukee with a bachelor's in Biochemistry and a minor in Japanese. I keep up with both of them by working as a chemist and reading/watching etc. things in Japanese. I also hang out with students and my past friends who are still in school at UW Milwaukee that take part in the Japanese Cultural Association. I of course enjoy playing video games to this day, airsoft, painting miniatures, and a few other hobbies.

Hey! I am Alex and I was Robert’s personal trainer for a few years. I’m kind of Robert’s outdoorsy and workout friend but I’m also a huge nerd! Even though I’d rather spend the night in a tent out under the stars, I still love playing Yugioh, board games, and video games. I enjoy creating outdoors content on YouTube (subscribe to my channel @alexhatlevig) and I am fortunate enough that my career allows me to work outdoors and meet so many cool people. Now I am no longer Robert’s personal trainer but I am very happy that we continue to be friends with many shared interests. Robert always shows me unique board games that are ridiculously complicated but always a lot of fun. Congrats to Robert and Mary Ann!

What’s up, I’m Miguel. A friend of Robert’s. I met Robert through Sam, we were playing Left 4 Dead 2 Multiplayer. Phenomenal game by the way, highly recommend. First time I met him in person was when we went to Laser Tagging at iCombat for Sam’s Birthday. From then on I’ve been playing games with him and talking regularly. Most recently was a Pathfinder Game which was A LOT of fun. Mary Ann even participated in a session, and was great at voice acting the characters. I’m super happy for Robert and Mary Ann. I’m so excited to be a Groomsman as well, Thanks Robert.

I first met Rob through his cousin Samuel Tarman, we met when we went to play laser tag together. At first I was noticeably younger than him, but over time we’ve grown close. We share a lot of hobbies and have a wonderful blend of different view points, and respect each other. We have plenty of moments of triumph, mainly in games, and he’s always so accommodating and invites me to practically everything. He sometimes makes me want to stop being a home-body. I love to play games, travel, write, and hang with buddies of mine, usually playing DnD while we’re at it. I’m a very sporty person as well and have gotten into weight lifting. I’m proud of Rob and Mary Ann, they’re an amazing couple and I can’t wait to see how beautiful this metaphorical tree will grow!

I first met Robert in kindergarten when we both attended Eisenhower Elementary school so to say we are childhood friends isn't enough, we have been lifelong friends. Even though my family moved to a new city a few years later, we were still in close contact with each other. Robert was really the friend who got me into video games and more recently board games. I've had many great memories with Robert, be it from sleepovers when we were young, to play dates, to attending festivals together. Robert has been a truly wonderful friend. I consider not only Robert, but the the Foxgrover-Foley's to be my second family so I cannot tell you how excited I am for Robert and Mary Ann's wedding! I'm truly proud of him. I'm currently living in Milwaukee and working as a civil engineer in Wauwatosa so I'm only a few minutes away from him. I love to cook, bake, play games, watch movies, play tennis, cardio, travel, eat new foods, hang out with friends and family
