The Black Whale

The Oyster House + The Terrace Tavern

13201 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach, NJ 08008

These two are located right next door to one another. The Oyster House serves great pizza, fresh oysters and a variety of crisp wines and beer. The Terrace Tavern is a larger spot with a great outdoor area called The Backyard. It regularly has live music, the best wings (Mary’s favorite!). Both places have a midday happy hour!

Triton

308 Centre St, Beach Haven, NJ 08008

This spot is perfect for anyone looking for a more lowkey, no frills, setting. The Triton serves craft beer and has refrigerators stocked with drinks to grab. Food is served at the counter, and games are welcome to be brought and played as you sit at the tables.

Fantasy Island Amusement Park + Arcade

750 N Bay Ave, Beach Haven, NJ 08008

A great spot for children (or just the young at heart like Chris), Fantasy Island has rides, boardwalk games and an indoor arcade.

If you’re looking for a beach bar, you cannot go wrong with these three:

The Sea Shell: 10 S Atlantic Ave, Beach Haven, NJ 08008

The Engleside: 30 Engleside Ave, Beach Haven, NJ 08008

Drift (hotel bar for our Spray Beach room block): 200 E 24th St, Beach Haven, NJ 08008

If you want a spot to watch the sunset while you enjoy bites and drinks, these bars have great views of the bay. If visiting Bird & Betty’s or Tucker’s Tavern, please try to make a reservation ahead of time as these two locations can get quite busy. If you’re not looking to sit down at sunset, you’ll be fine to mingle at the bar.
