Where does our story begin? It could begin at The Highlands School, where we both spent our elementary years playing on the same playground, learning from the same teachers, and being traumatized by the same bizarre injury to Chris’s brother Thomas (don’t worry, he’s fine). Or it could begin at Jesuit and Ursuline, where we floated around the same circles of friends, attended many of the same football games, and even looked at some of the same colleges.

But our story really began at HG Supply Co. on Lower Greenville, in the fall of 2021. Mary Cathryn floated through the bar beautifully and walked up to the rooftop, sporting a confident smile to go along with her budding career, her tidy home in Uptown, and her affectionate cat Margot. Chris was late. And honestly, not much has changed.

Ever since that day, we have fallen deeper and deeper into a love that we previously weren’t sure was possible. We’ve traveled the world together – four countries and nearly a dozen states, so far – and yet we still consider our greatest adventure to be the things we discover in each other, and the things we help each other discover in ourselves.

More than anything, we’re incredibly blessed. Just really, flat out, lucky. We each come from amazing families, each have the support of incredible friends, and each are so unimaginably excited for the future.

Where does our story begin? Decades from now, there’s a good chance we answer that question with the date “April 26, 2025”. We hope you’ll be with us as we kick off this journey together!
