It all started with a click. We both found each other on Hinge, and from the very beginning, something felt different. What began as a few casual messages quickly turned into something special. But, like many modern romances, our first date wasn’t exactly traditional. Instead of meeting in person, we decided to jump straight into a Zoom call. Though we couldn’t be together in person yet, the chemistry was undeniable, and we both knew we were onto something good.
Our first in-person date came a month later, and it was an evening full of laughter, adventure, and a little bit of culinary experimentation. We spent the night watching Ghost Adventures (because who doesn’t love a good ghost story?), eating chicken tenders (a true comfort food), and attempting to make alcoholic Butterbeer. Let’s just say it didn’t go quite as planned—our magical creation was, well… less than magical. But it didn’t matter. What mattered was how easy and fun everything felt, and how we couldn’t stop laughing together.
As our relationship blossomed, we were lucky enough to quickly fit into each other’s families. From the start, it was clear that our families were excited for us, and it felt like we were always meant to be a part of each other’s lives. Whether it was laughing over family dinners, bonding over holiday traditions, or sharing moments of support and love, it didn’t take long to feel at home in each other’s worlds. We know we’ve found our people—not just in each other, but in the families we’ve built together.
From that day on, our connection only grew stronger. We spent the next few years building memories, exploring new places, and learning everything we could about each other. Last year, we made the exciting decision to move to Denver together, marking the beginning of a new chapter in our lives.
Then, in September 2024, everything changed. We were in Monemvasia, Greece—a place straight out of a dream. On the balcony of our beautiful hotel, overlooking the Aegean Sea, Liam asked me the most important question of my life. With the sun setting behind us, the moment felt so intimate and perfect that time seemed to stand still. Of course, I said yes!
We celebrated the engagement with my family later that evening, sipping ouzo together. While the ouzo was, shall we say, less than ideal (a bit too warm and a little too strong for some), it made for a hilarious and unforgettable moment that we’ll always remember. That night, we were surrounded by love, laughter, and the joy of knowing we were starting the next chapter of our lives together.
And now, here we are—about to marry the person we met by chance, but knew was anything but accidental. Our love story has been filled with laughter, adventure, and plenty of sweet (and sometimes slightly strange) moments along the way. We’re so grateful for this journey and can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with you all.
