Unlike most couples, Jake and Mary's story is one whose beginning can't be pinpointed to a specific moment in time. It was the early 2021 and Jake was attending law school in Bloomington while Mary was already living in Indianapolis. With mutual friends visiting to take part in the March Madness college basketball tournament, the two of them found a reason to reconnect for the first time since high school. What started out as a weekend full of friendship quickly turned into something more after Jake's rendition of "Lips of An Angel" at the local Karaoke Bar. As Jake likes to say, the rest was history.

The two would continue to grow their relationship from a distance and made plenty of memories along the way. Many years and trips back to Canton later, Jake finally built up the courage to ask Mary's parents for their blessing. With their approval, and with the help of dozens of members from both the Pallotta and Davide clans, Jake devised a plan to propose to his soon-to-be wife. After months of meticulous planning, and to the surprise of absolutely nobody other than Mary, Jake proposed on May 4, 2024 and was greeted with an emphatic "Yes!"

Now, Jake and Mary look forward to celebrating their special day with friends and family on May 31, 2025.
