Our Wedding

Mary and Scott go way back—like kindergarten. They grew up side by side at St. Albert the Great, attending kindergarten through eighth grade together, and then even continued on to Padua Franciscan High School together. Despite spending so many years together, they were not high school sweethearts—nor was it love at first sight. They were simply friends, and that was all either of them expected.After graduation, life led them in different directions—Mary to Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and Scott to Miami University of Ohio. It was during this time apart that their friendship quietly evolved into something more.They spent the next several years navigating long distance, making countless trips between Duquesne and Miami for weekends, date parties, and time together. In 2020, Scott moved back in with his parents and the following year Mary moved back in with her parents—just five minutes away from each other. Their lives finally began to take place in the same city again, and in 2023 they bought their first home together in Brunswick.After years of encouragement from friends, family, and Mary herself, Scott proposed in Hilton Head Island. What started as childhood classmates has grown into a lifelong partnership, and they are excited to begin their next chapter as husband and wife!
