Jude was 17, while playing in the band, when he first noticed Mary in the crowded field playing soccer. She had a laugh that could light up a room and a way of making even the most ordinary day feel like something out of a movie. He didn’t know it then, but that moment was the beginning of something extraordinary.Their first date was in October 2019, at Sandy Acres Haunted House. The air was crisp, the leaves were fiery with fall color, and the haunted house was alive with screams and laughter. Mary clung to Jude’s arm during every jump scare, and Jude—half terrified himself—played the brave protector. They laughed until their cheeks hurt, and by the end of the night, Jude knew he didn’t want the evening to end. A few months later, he asked Mary to be his girlfriend.From that moment on, they were inseparable. They navigated the ups and downs of high school together, cheering each other on through exams, prom nights, sports, and late-night talks about the future. College came, and while life got busier, their bond only grew stronger.&nbsp;They were each other’s anchor, study buddy, and biggest fan.After Jude graduated college, he knew it was time. He planned everything down to the last detail. On a beautiful Saturday, under the sweeping views of Devou Park, he asked Mary to marry him. The sun was golden, the breeze gentle, and Mary’s eyes sparkled with surprise and joy. She said yes, and the world seemed to pause for just a moment—just long enough for two hearts to promise forever.But Jude wasn’t done. That evening, he whisked Mary away to her parents’ house, where their closest friends and family were waiting to celebrate. The backyard was strung with lights, laughter echoed through the air, and love was everywhere. It was the kind of night that felt like the beginning of a new chapter—one filled with adventure, partnership, and the kind of love that only grows deeper with time.
