It all started when Mary was living in Sacramento with her roomate Cameron Stout, and Matt came down to visit from North Lake Tahoe. Matt saw that Mary was cooking with Tony's Cachere's the Cajun seasoning, and immediately started asking questions. The two ended up staying up until 4 in the morning chatting. Nothing ever came from that night, but the two became friends. Years later, Mary lived in South Lake and reached out to Matt. From there, Matt swept her off her feet by showing her the beach coves of Tahoe's East Shore. Mary had planned on leaving Tahoe, and moving to Maine, but love finds you when you least expect it.
