It all started at a mutual friend’s wedding in the spring of 2023. I noticed him right away handsome, funny, and just the right amount of charming. We spent dinner laughing and talking, but then suddenly he disappeared! I was a little disappointed, thinking he’d slipped out early. Turns out, he’d just gone to take a nap after supper (classic him).

When he reappeared as everyone was heading to the after-party, it felt like fate hit refresh. We ended up sitting next to each other in the Uber, and the conversation flowed effortlessly — the kind where you forget everyone else is even there. At one point, he even smelled my armpit (don’t ask, it made perfect sense at the time!), and thankfully, I passed the test.

From that night on, we were hooked. Our first official date came just a few days later, and within two weeks, we’d been on five dates and knew something special was happening. By the end of those two whirlwind weeks, we were officially a couple.

Fast-forward to August 2025: a sunny day on the golf course (one of our favorite places to be), surrounded by friends. On hole number 4, he got down on one knee — and just like that, the rest of our story began.

Now, we spend our days golfing, laughing, and sharing life with our golden retriever, Jack, who’s eight years old and definitely the most spoiled member of our little family.
