William and Mary met at Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts during the last couple of weeks of their senior year in 2014. Mary had plans to move back to Texas to attend graduate school. William had plans to attend law school in Boston. Their plan wasn't to fall in love and stay in Worcester, but thats exactly what they did.
William proposed to Mary at Church Landing at Mill Falls in Meredith, New Hampshire. William had planned the proposal so that it would seem that they would be celebrating Mary's birthday and finishing graduate school. Upon arriving to the hotel, Mary and William had a priceless view of the lake and a romantic fireplace in their room. A mild blizzard hit the town overnight and everything was coated in snow. William took Mary to a winery down the street, then to dinner. After dinner, William took Mary to look at the Christmas lights that were scattered around the town. It was then he proposed, among the Christmas lights and snow, that they spend the rest of their lives together.
