Q + A

When should I RSVP by?

May 4, 2024!

What is the dress code?

Dress is cocktail and semi-formal attire (suits, dress shirts, short and long cocktail dresses, etc.) for our wedding. The wedding ceremony and reception will both be held indoors, and our reception space has a retractable roof so rain will not be an issue! We are so excited to get all dressed up with all of our favorite people!

Where should I stay if I am an out-of-town guest?

Check out the "accommodations" page on this site for our two hotel options, both with room block rates.

Is there anything we can do between the ceremony and reception?

Yes! This would be a great time to go grab a drink along the Chicago Riverwalk. Tiny Tapp and City Winery are two of our favorite spots to try. The riverwalk is a great stopping point because it is right in between our ceremony and reception venues!

Are kids invited to the wedding?

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. The only exception is the children in our wedding party. We hope you take this opportunity to treat our wedding as a night to relax and enjoy. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us!

Is there parking available at the ceremony and reception?

Yes! There is free covered parking at Assumption Catholic Church for wedding guests in the 311 West Illinois building, just east of the church. The parking entrance is on Franklin Street. Additionally, there is valet parking at the Kimpton Gray Hotel ($75 per day with in/out privileges), as well as many Spot Hero parking garages nearby for cheaper parking rates if desired.

Will there be a shuttle service?

The shuttle service will be reserved for the wedding party only as the church and reception are a quick drive or walk to one another! It is an 8 minute drive or 20 minute walk from the Kimpton Gray to Assumption Catholic Church and vice versa.

Should I arrive early to the ceremony?

The hustle and bustle of summertime in Chicago is what makes it such an amazing place! However, there is consistent traffic downtown that comes along with that. We would recommend giving yourself ample time if driving from out-of-town or the suburbs in order to attend our 3 p.m. church ceremony stress-free!

WILL THERE BE A COCKTAIL HOUR?

Absolutely! We will kick off the celebrations with cocktail hour at Boleo, a South American bar and lounge on the top floor of the Kimpton Gray Hotel, with appetizers and libations.

Can I bring a date?

Our wedding will only be able to accommodate those listed on the invitations in order to stay on budget and capacity. We appreciate your understanding!
