Our Wedding

Mary Kate and Evan met through Hinge, an online app. Evan reached out first, and they hit it off. For their first date (brunch, of course!), Evan made the drive to Charleston, while Mary Kate got ready following only a couple hours of sleep after working night shift. Even though Mary Kate was weary from a long night helping her patients, Evan knew instantly that she was a catch, and he wanted to pursue a relationship with her. Since then, they've alternated the drive between Charleston and Savannah, and are very much looking forward to finally living in the same place. Some of their favorite memories together include crossing off Mary Kate's list of local Charleston restaurants, watching the Dawgs and Eagles play football, walking on Sullivan's Island, and cooking new recipes together. Evan proposed in their favorite spot on Sullivan's Island, and she of course said yes! To top it off, Evan surprised Mary Kate with all of their out-of-town family and friends at a house on Isle of Palms. We can't wait to celebrate with you at our wedding ceremony and brunch reception in our favorite city in August!

This is a luxury hotel, and would be great for the guests looking for a special weekend in Charleston.

This hotel is a quick 2 mile drive from the venue. It is a mid-range option that is also close to the water!

Charleston Marriott

This is our absolute favorite date night spot! We would suggest making reservations several weeks ahead of time. It's a little ways away from downtown, but absolutely worth it. Evan would say it feels like dining at your Italian grandma's house.

Wild Olive Restaurant

This is one of our favorite spots, and it is a cute little restaurant nestled in a quaint inn in Mount Pleasant. It is in a beautiful neighborhood, so if you venture out here, we would suggest a walk down to Pitt Street Bridge!

Post House

This is a beautiful pier out on the waterway in the cutest neighborhood of Old Village in Mount Pleasant.

Pitt Street Bridge

This is one of the iconic Charleston spots downtown. They have a great menu for any meal!

Poogan's Porch

This was the location of our first date! They have a German menu with a southern twist, and on-site parking! It is a great spot for a casual meal.

Bay Street Biergarten

This is the best coffee spot in Charleston! They have a sister location downtown called Harkin Cafe that is also amazing. Would highly recommend!

The Harbinger Cafe & Bakery

This is one of the prettiest places for a walk, run, or bike ride!
