Like so many modern love stories, ours started with a swipe. After matching on a dating app and realizing we could actually hold a conversation longer than five messages (a miracle in itself!), we decided to meet up.Our second date — a day at the zoo — ended up being perfectly timed: it was the day before Houston shut down for COVID in 2020. The world might have gone into lockdown, but we found plenty of joy (and lots of time) just hanging out together.Since then, we’ve made it our mission to fill our lives with adventures — from hiking new trails to exploring the open seas on cruises. Every trip reminds us that the best part of any journey is who you share it with.In June 2025, during a hike to Marymere Falls in Olympic National Park, Brandon popped the question — and Mary said yes! Now, we can’t wait for the next adventure: saying “I do” surrounded by our favorite people.

Brandon and Mary went through the Cave of Winds on a short trip to the area in March. This is a cool tour if you are not claustrophobic!

We did not get to see this, but this is a great stop as well (from what we've heard). We plan to catch this one during wedding week. You can drive to the top.
