Hugo and Mary met in Paris in 2018 at Hugo’s “secret bar”, where he shared stories about football trips and weddings in Belgrade and where Mary shared stories about her recent move to Paris.

They spent the next few months learning more and more about each other by going to different sporting events, visiting guinguettes along the Seine, having full English breakfasts, seeing concerts and touring some of the 15th arrondissement’s finest establishments - Celtic Corner, Heure Sup & The Newborn.

Before they knew it, Hugo was about to begin a 2 year professional adventure in Australia, while Mary remained in Paris. These next two years allowed for Hugo and Mary to perfect their texting and FaceTime skills; and also for some amazing trips “down under” together. Hugo became a master spider capturer and a novice surfer; while Mary found relaxation on the Maroubra beach and discovered local natural pools during her visits to Sydney.

Finally in 2021, the two reunited back in Paris. After settling into the new flat, Hugo into his new job and a couple trips away together, Hugo finalized a plan for their trip to his favorite city - Ljubljana, Slovenia just before the holiday.

A few months later in early December - the day had arrived. After exploring the beautiful city and visiting the Ljubljana Castle together, Hugo took Mary to the city center where he found the perfect bridge to ask her to marry him. She happily accepted - and they began a night of celebration and, more importantly, the next momentous step in their lives together, forever.

Ils passèrent les mois suivants à en apprendre davantage l’un sur l’autre en assistant à différents événements sportifs, en visitant des guinguettes le long de la Seine, en prenant des « English breakfast », en assistant à des concerts et en visitant certains des meilleurs établissements du 15e arrondissement de Paris - Celtic Corner, Heure Sup & The New Born.

Avant qu'ils ne s'en rendent compte, Hugo était sur le point de commencer une nouvelle aventure professionnelle de 2 ans en Australie, tandis que Mary restait à Paris. Ces deux années suivantes ont permis à Hugo et Mary de perfectionner leurs compétences en textos et FaceTime ; et on aussi donné naissance à d’incroyables voyages « down under ». Hugo est devenu un maître chasseur d'araignées et un surfeur novice ; tandis que Mary a trouvé le calme sur la plage de Maroubra pendant qu’elle découvrait des piscines naturelles lors de ses visites à Sydney.

En 2021, Mary et Hugo se retrouvaient enfin à Paris. Après s'être installé dans un nouvel appartement et quelques voyages ensemble, Hugo finalisa un plan pour leur visite dans sa ville préférée - Ljubljana, Slovénie.

Quelques mois plus tard, début décembre, le jour était arrivé. Après avoir exploré la ville et visité le château de Ljubljana, Hugo a emmené Mary au centre-ville où il a trouvé le pont parfait pour lui demander de l'épouser. Elle a accepté avec joie - et ils ont commencé une nuit de célébration et, plus important encore, la prochaine étape cruciale de leur vie ensemble, pour toujours.
