What date should I RSVP by?
We kindly ask that you RSVP no later than Monday, November 10th, 2025. The sooner the better!
Where are you registered?
We are registered with Amazon, Crate & Barrel, Pampered Chef and Target. We also have a cash fund. All registry items are conveniently linked on our wedding website through the “Registry” tab.
Is there a dresscode?
We’d love for our guests to join us in cocktail attire! Ladies can choose mid- to floor-length dresses or jumpsuits, and gentlemen may wear suits or a button-up with slacks and a jacket. Since it’s December in Texas, the weather could be unpredictable—but don’t worry, everything will be indoors. We just ask that no jeans or hats be worn, as our ceremony will be in the church. We can’t wait to see everyone dressed up and ready to celebrate!
Are children invited?
We love your little ones and are delighted to welcome them at the ceremony. For the reception, due to limited seating, we can only accommodate those listed on your invitation. We hope you’ll enjoy the evening as a special date night!
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to limited seating at the reception, we kindly ask that only those listed on your invitation attend. Thank you for understanding—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
We recommend arriving at St. Seraphim's Orthodox Cathedral no later than 3:00 pm in order to provide ample time for you to park and get settled before the ceremony begins at 3:30 pm.
What should I expect from an Orthodox Christian Wedding?
The Orthodox wedding service is a beautiful and symbolic service that lasts about one hour. As there are no pews in the cathedral, guests will be standing for the duration. Chairs will be reserved for immediate family members and for those who may need to be seated.
In the Orthodox Church, a wedding service is a public and open event. This means that parishioners of the cathedral, along with our guests, will be present. We recommend arriving early to find a good place to stand with a clear view.
We also suggest bringing a comfortable pair of shoes for the service—and, of course, your dancing shoes for the reception!
Is there parking at both the Church and the Reception Venue?
At the church, a parking lot is available, though it tends to fill quickly. Ample free street parking can be found in the surrounding neighborhood.
At the reception venue, Willow Creek Weddings & Events, a designated lot is located at the front of the property with plenty of available parking.
What time does cocktail hour begin?
Cocktail hour will begin at 5:00 pm in the Atrium at Willow Creek Weddings & Events. As Willow Creek is approximately a 35-minute drive from St. Seraphim’s, we recommend traveling directly from the ceremony to join us. The reception will follow at 6:00 pm.
