Sean and Mary met in early 2020 before the USA had any concerns about COVID. Both believing in date-to-marry, they quickly bonded over family values and shared lifestyles, ambitions, and pastimes. Many dates going into 2020 and 2021 were spent on FaceTime, socially distanced, or methodically planned with limited to zero interaction with other people beforehand. This gave the couple a great deal of time to focus on themselves and each other as their relationship progressed. Once they were no longer wiping down groceries they got to know each other family’s and friends. Mary and Sean had many dates and adventures to the St. Louis Zoo, the boathouse, Bush Stadium, the Botanical Gardens, three concerts, different conventions and fairs, camping trips, and of course Hendel’s Restaurant in Florissant. They graduated together from STLCC in 2022. They bought a house in Florissant in June of 2023 and started working on it that same week to bring it up to date. Sean proposed on September 29th, 2023 while on vacation in St. Charles. Mary and Sean adopted their adorable love bird Wasabi, in January of 2024. Wasabi has filled their home with more singing and feathers than thought possible. We say our story started in February 2020 but in a way, it started earlier as we discovered we sat behind each other on the 3-hour bus ride to Steubenville’s youth conference. Our youth groups held a cook-off in Sacred Heart's small kitchen we took part. We’re sure there were many other experiences we shared without ever knowing it. We look forward to many more adventures as a married couple.
