Travel

The Summit is a great spot for shopping, with plenty of good restaurants to choose from. Favorites include Chuy’s, Shake Shack, Urban Cookhouse, Chopt, and Taco Mama. You’ll also find a wide mix of stores like Lululemon, Anthropologie, Nordstrom Rack, Orvis, and Williams Sonoma.

The Summit Birmingham

Edgewood and 18th Street South are fun, easy areas to walk around, with great shopping and plenty of places to stop along the way. If you’re looking for somewhere to eat, some favorites include Saw’s BBQ, O’Carr’s, Real &amp; Rosemary, Farm Bowls, Little Donkey, and Soho Social. There are also cozy coffee spots like Caveat and O’Henry’s. Brock loves The Battery for the good food and great atmosphere to watch sports, and Mae Mae loves Frothy Monkey for their delicious coffee!

Downtown Homewood

Jemison Park Trail is a great nature trail in Mountain Brook, perfect for a walk and close to plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

Pepper Place Farmers Market is a Saturday morning staple, open from 7am to 12pm, with fresh, locally grown produce and a mix of local artists and makers.

Birmingham Botanical Gardens

One of Mae Mae and Brock’s favorite spots for breakfast tacos and coffee. It’s in a great, walkable area with plenty of shops nearby!

Tasty Town is a fun spot in Birmingham for a great meal, known for its lively atmosphere and really good Mediterranean-inspired food. It’s a great place to go if you’re looking for something a little nicer while still feeling relaxed and welcoming.
