Mary and Camden met on BRAG summer of 2023. For those that don't know what BRAG is, it stands for Bike Ride Across Georgia, and Mary and her dad have participated in this week long event for many years. Camden found out about an opportunity to work the event through coworker and groomsman, Nathan. On the last day, after riding from Clayton to Augusta, it was time to load up the bikes and guess who was in charge of loading the bikes onto the U-haul. Camden! Camden bravely struck up a conversation but it didn't last long since he had work to do. As Mary and Richard waited for the buses to arrive, another one of Camden's coworkers approaches Mary to let her know his friend wanted her number. After exchanging information and texting for a few weeks, Mary and Camden go on their first date!

Now it should also be mentioned that Mary lived in Atlanta, GA and Camden in Chattanooga, TN at this time so it was a long distance relationship, only able to see each other on weekends. It was worth it. For over 1.5 years, Mary and Camden visited each other almost every weekend.

In September 2024, Mary and Camden plan a ski trip to Snowshoe, WV with her best friend, Elizabeth, and her boyfriend, Walker for January 2025. Unknown to Mary, Camden buys an engagement ring as well. Flash forward to our ski trip. Camden and Elizabeth orchestrate an extraordinary proposal. After repeatedly saying "No way," Camden got his answer, Mary said "YES!" Shout out to Walker for being a great camera man and capturing it all on video.
