You can fly into the Denver International Airport (~3hr drive), Colorado Springs Regional Airport (~2.25 hr drive), or San Luis Valley Regional Airport (~1.5 hr drive). You will need to rent a car for transportation to the venue.

Please arrive no earlier than 2:30PM to ensure adequate time to get parked and seated before the ceremony starts at 3PM. Please carpool if possible!

The wedding ceremony will be held outside (weather permitting). The cocktail hour will be held at the Lodge with indoor and outdoor seating. The dinner/reception will be held inside the event center. The band will be playing on an outside stage facing the event center which allows for dancing outside or inside with the doors open. We recommend packing layers and checking for variable weather.

Please dress in Mountain Cocktail attire for the wedding ceremony (outdoor cocktail attire). We suggest that you wear dress boots or shoes so that you can easily walk on the grass meadow and gravel pathways. Please also bring a warm layer in case of cold weather.

Yes, we have a backup plan to move the events inside as needed. There is always the potential for weather this time of year in Colorado.

Shaw's River Ranch is a beautiful mountain ranch on the Arkansas River. We ask that guests be mindful of their trash and respect the owners property.

Yes, we have room for up to 60 guests to park on the property (including vendors). You will be directed to park in the gravel lot when you turn into the property. Cars cannot be left overnight so please plan accordingly. Please carpool if possible.

While we would love to have all of our furry friends, we ask that you please keep your dogs at your lodging for Saturday's festivities. You may bring your dog with you on Friday night to the welcome party but they must remain on leash. Please clean up after your pets.

Salida, CO is a high elevation, western mountain town. We would like to remind guests to drink plenty of water and be aware of sensitivity to high altitude (including drinking).

The property is not technically wheelchair accessible but we will have a utility vehicle on site to move elderly family members or those needing special accommodation.
