WHERE IS THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION?
Our wedding ceremony begins at 3pm at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, which is on the University of Notre Dame's campus. Please arrive 30 minutes before our wedding to walk over and choose your seat. The reception is in the Downes Club of Corbett Family Hall, which is at the east end of Notre Dame Stadium (Door 4). Cocktail hour is on the 8th floor from 5-6pm, and the reception is on the 7th floor from 6-11 pm. Feel free to check your coats on the 7th floor when you arrive at Corbett Hall, and proceed to the 8th floor for cocktail hour.
HOW DO I GET TO THE WEDDING CEREMONY?
It is a seven minute walk north from the Morris Inn to the Basilica. You may also drive to the Basilica by taking the road next to the bookstore (Holy Cross Drive and Notre Dame Avenue) to the guardhouse. The guard will allow you to access Holy Cross Drive. After the guardhouse, keep driving on Holy Cross Drive until the lake is to your left and the Basilica is to your right. Drive just past the Basilica, and turn right into the lot. WHERE IS THE DROP OFF POINT FOR THE BASILICA?
There is a drop off point in front of and to the west of the Basilica. You may NOT park there permanently. This area is only for dropping off and picking up. Behind the Basilica, there is a parking lot.
May I take pictures during the ceremony?
We respectfully ask that you put away all devices and turn them off / set them to Airplane Mode during the ceremony. We’ve hired a professional photographer and videographer to capture the day's events, and we do not want anything blocking their view. Please feel free to take as many photos as you want at the reception. We promise to share the ceremony photos as soon as we receive them!
IS THERE TIME BETWEEN THE CEREMONY AND THE RECEPTION?
Yes! Please feel free to explore Notre Dame's campus, grab a drink at Rohr’s restaurant at the Morris Inn, or freshen up before cocktail hour (5pm). Our wedding ceremony is at the Basilica from approximately 3-4pm. Cocktail hour starts at 5pm in Downes Ballroom of Corbett Family Hall, which is at the east end of Notre Dame Stadium (Door 4).
After the ceremony, how do I get to the reception venue?
It is a twelve minute walk from the Basilica to the Downes Ballroom. If you wish to drive to the reception, follow Holy Cross Drive back to the guardhouse & continue east. There is parking available directly next to the reception entrance of Notre Dame Stadium. Park by Door 4, which is between ND Stadium and the Joyce Center (basketball arena). Will there be a shuttle between events?
The Basilica and the Morris Inn are both walking distance from the Downes Ballroom, so there will not be a shuttle. It is possible to drive to & from all of the day's wedding events. Driving directions are outlined above in the "How do I get to the wedding ceremony?" and "After the ceremony, how do I get to the reception venue?" Q&A sections. If you are unfamiliar with campus and you plan on driving, we recommend reviewing the campus map at the bottom of the page.
May I bring a plus one?
Please do not bring any additional guests besides the ones listed on your invitation.
Is there a preferred hotel where we should stay?
Yes! The Morris Inn is at the center of campus, near the Basilica and ND Stadium reception venue. There is a wedding hotel block link for booking under the Travel tab on this website. There could be winter weather, so we do suggest staying on campus, but there are plenty of other hotel options on Indiana Route 933 north of campus.
DO I HAVE TO MAIL BACK MY RSVP, OR MAY I RSVP ONLINE? WHEN IS THE RSVP DEADLINE?
We are only providing an online RSVP. In order to RSVP, please scan the QR code included in your formal invitation. Everyone invited in your party will be included when you submit your RSVP. The deadline to submit is December 14, 2024. If we do not hear back by this date, the RSVP will be marked as a “No.” We will miss you celebrating with us; however, we are required to provide a total guest count to the venue well in advance of the reception.
WHAT IF I HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?
We will have the options of beef, chicken, or vegetarian at the reception dinner. Please contact us if you have any dietary restrictions. No shellfish will be served.
