In August 2012 Mary walks into Wells Fargo looking for her friend who was a personal banker to help her with a transaction. Instead she found Phillip who was eager to help this beautiful latin girl who just walked into the bank. As expected Phillip got a little flustered with this pretty Colombian sitting in front of him and couldn’t resolve the issue she came into the bank for, however he did manage to ask her for her business card. Several days later they went on their first date and thus the journey began. It hasn’t always been sunshine and clear skies but something always kept these two together or at least within contact of each other. In January 2023, Phillip and Mary took a vacation to the Galapagos Islands and with God’s guidance they officially got back together. Six months later Mary thought she was simply going on the family’s bi-annual vacation to the Outer Banks in North Carolina but little did she know that Phillip was going to propose to her at her favorite place in the entire world, the beach. People always say when you know, you know. And God says, it’s not on your time but on my time and my timing is perfect. So on the night of Tuesday June 27th they took a walk on the beach while most everyone went to bed and Phillip proposed and Mary said yes. With their relationship to God and each other, they are both looking towards the future and to the day they say,”I DO”.
