What is the dress code?
Our dress code is semi-formal! Dresses at knee length and longer, as well as button-down shirts and dress pants, are appropriate. (No jeans please.) We ask guests to keep in mind that both the ceremony and reception locations are grassy, so we recommend flats or block heels. The bridal party will be wearing shades of green.
Are children invited?
All guests, including children, will be named on our formal invitations.
Do I get a plus one?
To keep our celebration intimate at 70 guests, we have chosen not to issue any plus ones. All guests will be invited by name on the formal invitation.
Ceremony Parking:
We are anticipating construction near the chapel, so parking is a little tricky! There are two parking ramps available, the Iowa Memorial Union (IMU) Ramp and the North Campus Ramp. The IMU Ramp is just across the street from the chapel, but may be difficult for larger cars to navigate due to tight turn spaces. If you have an SUV or larger car, we recommend parking in the North Campus Ramp and then walking 5 minutes to the chapel. There is temporary parking in front of the Iowa Memorial Union that can be used to drop off guests that may prefer not to walk from the North Campus Ramp. (There will also be an email sent out to guests a week prior to the wedding with more specific directions.)
Reception Parking
Yes, there is ample free parking just outside the reception space.
What time does the ceremony/reception start?
The ceremony will begin at 4:30pm. Our reception will begin with a 5pm cocktail hour and reception to follow, ending at 10:30pm.
When is the RSVP deadline?
Our RSVP deadline was May 21st, 2025. If you need to change your RSVP from “Yes” to “No” due to unforeseen circumstances, please reach out to us!
