Q - Do you have a registry?
A - We have more stuff than we will ever need. Your presence at our celebration is the perfect gift! If you'd like to do something more, (completely not necessary) — you can donate to one of our favorite causes in our name:
Santa Fe Animal Shelter
Espanola Animal Shelter
Planned Parenthood
The ACLU
Heart and Soul Animal Sanctuary, Glorieta NM
Seeds of Light
Tripura Foundation
Q - What is the discount code for the hotel?
A - Use Code G-WBW1
Q - What should I wear and bring to enjoy New Mexico in the summer?
A - Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat are required. Also, you'll need lots of hydration, light summer clothing, sneakers or walking shoes if you want to hike or ride horses, a bathing suit to enjoy the pools at Tamaya, insect repellent just in case there are mosquitoes, a light wrap or sweatshirt if you're staying out late. If you're visiting Santa Fe, beware of the high altitude (7,000 feet!) and be sure to drink LOTS of extra water and go light on the alcohol for a day or two until you acclimate. Really.
Q - Will I need a car?
A - New Mexico is magnificent, and worth seeing during your stay. And a car is the best way to see it.
But, if you are staying at the resort and NOT staying extra days to visit Santa Fe or tour the area, you won't need a car. Let us know if you need transportation to the welcome dinner the night before and we will help coordinate that, or you can get a Lyft / Uber. You will need to book an Uber or work with the hotel to get a ride to and from the airport.
Q-How far is Tamaya Resort from Albuquerque Airport?
A-Tamaya Resort is about 35 minutes (26 miles) north of Albuquerque Airport. It's a little tricky to locate, so pay attention to your phone's GPS.
Q- What is there to do in the area?
A-With a car, there's a lot to see, in all directions.
Sandia Peak (that mountain towering above Albuquerque) is reachable both by Tramway cable car as well as by road, around the back side. The Sandia Peak Tramway is about a half hour drive from Tamaya.
Q - How far is Santa Fe from Tamaya Resort?
A - It's an easy 50 mile drive northeast, that takes about an hour to travel from Tamaya to the Santa Fe Plaza downtown.
