Our little Sioux Falls is growing up! Our small city has increased its population by over 10% since 2020 alone, so we can't possibly keep up with all the new and exciting things happening. Thankfully organizations like <a href="https://www.theknot.com/gs/dashboard/preview/pages/97219120/dtsf.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Downtown Sioux Falls</a> have done the hard work for us and have curated lists of restaurants, shops, events, and attractions for every age group. We have also listed some of our personal favorite places and activities below as well.

Attractions in Downtown Sioux Falls and Beyond

"Sioux Falls Zoo &amp; Aquarium features animals from seven continents - and the seas in between - on our two campuses, Great Plains Zoo and Butterfly House &amp; Aquarium.At the Great Plains Zoo (GPZ) campus, explore more than 20 acres of habitats, ranging from our iconic bighorn sheep mountain to our new, world-class African lion exhibit. The majority of our displays are open year-round, with climate controlled indoor viewing spaces throughout zoo grounds."Open 10am-5pm The park also includes a Splash pad which is covered with admission to the zoo! There are bathhouse facilities for changing as well as concessions available for purchase. The splash pad opens a half hour after zoo opening and closes a half hour before the zoo closes.

A waterpark and adventure park all in one! The waterpark features slides, a wave pool, lazy river, splash pad, and activity pool as well as a concession stand and swim-up bar for the grown-ups. The adventure park is "pay-to-play" and has bumper boats, go-karts, mini golf, and batting cages.

Falls Park Dr) is a crowd-favorite for the magnificent view of the Little Sioux River tumbling over massive pink Sioux quartzite boulders. Additionally there is a visitor's center, Stockyards Ag Experience, and the Overlook Cafe (open 11am-5pm). There is also a <a href="https://www.fallsparkfarmersmarket.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Farmers Market</a> on Saturdays from 8am-1pm we recommend you check out for local produce, baked goods, coffee, crafts, and more! SculptureWalk Sioux Falls is the largest annual exhibit of public sculptures in the world and we love the beauty they add to our quaint downtown. Check out the <a href="https://sculpturewalksiouxfalls.com/map/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Sculpture Walk map</a> and take yourself on a self-guided tour! If you're more in the mood to get out and move, you should check out the Sioux Falls Recreation Trail which loops around the city and has 36 miles of paved trail. We understand you might not have time to catch a movie during your stay, but we couldn't not include our favorite date spot in downtown! Showing classic movies, holiday favorites, and independent new releases, this movie theater features massive reclining leather seats and an unmatched concession stand. The best moviegoing experience in the area for sure!!
