The real story goes like this:
Once upon a time there lived the Hamid family who comprised of a father, a pregnant mother, and a soon-to-be older sister. On the next street over there lived the Ally family who consisted of a father, a pregnant mother, a daughter, a son, and a soon-to-be older sister. SubhanAllah.

The Hamid family welcomed their second baby girl named Maryam and two months later the Ally family welcomed their second baby boy named Taahir. Alhamdulillah.
The Hamid family and the Ally family go way back to Leonora days, with the fathers being good friends and when they migrated to Canada the mothers became the bestest of friends.

The mothers of Taahir and Maryam began plotting from the time both babies were born, how they would get Maryam and Taahir married. They were the same age, their parents were good friends, and they lived 30 seconds from each other. It was the perfect match. Who they were when they got older, their personality, their likes, and dislikes wouldn't matter because the mothers had already agreed they were perfect for each other.

MashaAllah, Maryam grew up becoming a talkative, loud, and assertive person. Taahir grew up becoming a low-key, easy-going, and hard-working person. The Hamid kids and the Ally kids would do everything together. Trips to the Science Center, Strawberry picking at Whittamore's Farm, Laser Tag, and fishing. Just like their parents, they all became great friends. MashaAllah.

Over the years the Mothers would randomly and conveniently talk about how Taahir and Maryam would be a lovely couple and how perfect they looked together, all while both kids were near to hear. Maryam's mother would always bring up how Taahir is such a handsome boy with good character and Taahir's mother would bring up how beautiful and kind Maryam is.

After 23 years of whispering and nagging, Maryam and Taahir decided maybe, just maybe, their mothers know what's good and should see where this goes. When both mothers heard Maryam and Taahir wanted to talk TALK to each other they started vibrating with happiness and excitement.
SubhanAllah, it took one week for Maryam and Taahir to fall in love. It was crazy how well they complimented each other. It was as if they were always meant to be together. Alhamdulillah.

When they told the rest of their family, everyone apparently already knew it was going to happen. It was as if the whole world knew Taahir and Maryam were perfect for each other, except for Maryam and Taahir.

In December, Maryam and Taahir made it halal by having the bride's father conduct the Nikkah. It was a unique moment having the father of the bride give her away while also performing the marriage ceremony. Everyone laughed, cried, and ate together, making it the perfect evening. Allahumma Barik.

They are living happily ever after... Forever...
