As told by Reed In 2016 I was spending the summer the summer in Rolla, MO and Marybeth was as well. We met when a mutual friend introduced us in late June at Kappa Sigma, my fraternity. Over the next couple of weeks we kept running into each other while out with friends, making small talk here and there. After this has happened several times I finally gained up the courage to ask her on a date. We dated on and off for the next year and finally got serious in the summer of 2017. Since then we have attended many cardinal's games, traveled all over the country for hiking trips, and have shared countless memories and life events with each other.

How We Met

As told by Marybeth In late March 2021, Reed surprised me and came up to visit on one of my first weekends in Omaha, NE after temporarily moving ther for my final DPT clinical rotation. Reed had an entire weekend planned for us, while only revealing minimal details. He told me we were going to a cool bar &amp; grill close to the river for dinner, and then to pack for a fancy dinner on Saturday night (thinking to myself that our fancy dinner would be for a certain special occasion). After dinner on Friday, Reed "randomly" insisted on walking a few blocks down the road to go visit the pedestrian bridge that goes over the Missouri River since it was a tourist attraction and really close by. Not knowing how to get there on foot before hand, it turns out we had to walk over a mile total because there was a fenced off railroad track. He made me hop over a fence and walk a mile in the freezing cold to get to the bridge from the restaurant, which I thought it was odd how much he wanted to go see this bridge since it was so cold out. Instead it was all part of his master plan to get me to spend the rest of my life with him!

Guest Accommodations

Visiting the Arch is a "must-do" when visiting the St. Louis area. If you have not been ever or recently, the park itself has gone through renovations recently and the grounds around the arch are beautiful. The views up inside of the Arch are unmatched and give you a truly unique view of the city that we call home!

Gateway Arch National Park, National Park Service

This is one of our favorite spots in the downtown STL area, and has been going through some major upgrades over the last few months! Even if there is not baseball going on, there are always some fun event scheduled for this area that can be found on their website.

Ballpark Village

Forest Park is one of our favorite spots to go to and is home to so many different attractions:&nbsp;the Missouri History Museum, the Muny, the Saint Louis Art Musuem, the Saint Louis Science Center and the Saint Louis Zoo. There is a restaurant inside the park "The Boathouse" that has amazing food with a water-front view, that you can even take paddle-boats on!

Forest Park

Union Station has been adding some major attractions over the last couple of years. Check out the aquarium, the iconic huge ferris wheel - "The Wheel", new restaurants, fire &amp; light shows, and more!

Grand Hall at Union Station

This is truly a one of a kind spot in St. Louis! Climb, explore, crawl, and eat/drink in this giant, "adult-friendly" playground! And don't forget to check out the rooftop!

City Museum

Fun bar and pub to hang out between the ceremony and reception that is very close to the reception venue and Holiday Inn room-block!

Things to Do

What time should I arrive?

For the ceremony - we hope to begin promptly at 1:00pm, so please arrive no later than 15 minutes before the ceremony. Arriving between 12:30pm-12:45pm would leave you time to park and find your seat.For the reception - cocktail hour starts at 5:30pm, with dinner starting immediately afterward around 6:30pm. Please plan to arrive anytime between 5:30pm and 6:00pm.

Where should I park?

There is ample parking at both the ceremony and reception venues, however - we recommend carpooling with others when possible or planning rides to and from the reception if you don't plan on driving afterwards.

Can I leave my car overnight?

No. Please do not plan to leave your car at LiUNA Event Center. Unfortunately, they will tow cars if they are there past the ceremony end. Last call at the bar will be 11:30pm.

Are kids welcome?

Although we love and adore your children, due to budget/space constraints we are limiting guests to those listed on the invitations and respectfully request no children under 16.

What should I wear?

The ceremony and reception will be indoors. The dress is cocktail / formal attire.For the gentleman - wear anything from a suit &amp; tie to slacks and button up shirt. No shorts, jeans, short-sleeve shirts.For the ladies - feel free to wear a long or short dress.

When do I need to RSVP?

Please respond to our RSVP on this wedding website by April 15th, 2022.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Please do not use your phones and cameras at the wedding ceremony. We have hired an amazing photographer and videographer to capture the fun. We will be sure to share them with everyone. Please keep your phone away until after the ceremony is over.

Can I bring a date?

If your date is not listed on your RSVP on the wedding website , we were unable to invite them due to the guest list maximum. If you are unsure if your date is invited, please just reach out to us and we will confirm!

How are we staying safe during COVID?

(Policies &amp; Recommendations are subject to change) As of 3/10/2022 ... The City of St. Charles, City of St. Louis ,and St. Louis County do not have mask mandate in place for indoors.Our Reception venue - LiUNA Event Centers - asks that guests wear masks in the front common area at all times. Once inside the ballroom where wedding will be taking place, masks are optional and up to each guest's personal preference.At all other wedding events - masks are optional and up to each guest's personal preference.
