Gary and MaryKate met in November of 2018 after chatting on a popular dating app. We won't get into the details, but hey, it worked! It's what all the cool kids are doing nowadays. As it turns out, they had a lot in common. They both attended Western Oregon University at the same time, just never crossed paths. Though it's more than likely a few glances were exchanged on campus! When they first met, both had recently started new jobs. MaryKate, a nurse at Salem Hospital. Gary, a firefighter-paramedic at McMinnville Fire Department. This made it easy to understand each other's schedules and work-life balance. After just a few dates they both realized the search was over, and the rest is history! Gary and MaryKate share the same values and goals in life. They love being active and have created so many great memories on hikes, ski trips and vacations. Family is their highest priority, they love spending time with the Miller's and Steindorf's and are excited to grow their own family one day. They built their first home together in Amity in October of 2020. It has been the perfect change to be out of the city in a small, quiet town. Their sweet fur baby, Ember, has loved the move. While this past year has been challenging being on the front line of the pandemic, it has only made their relationship stronger. They can't wait to celebrate all together again! Their hope for the wedding is simple... to have the most important people by their side as they say I do! Oh... and beer...lots and lots of beer!

Emily is the bride's sister. She is a teacher at Canby High School, she teaches chemistry and physics. She has been married to her husband, Kevin, for 3 years, and they have one fur child named Raider.

Hayley and MaryKate met in high school and have been inseparable best friends for the last 10 years. Hayley has a passion for health and fitness, she is a coach and trainer at The House in Tigard, Oregon. These two best friends love to spend time working out together, hiking,  spending time outdoors and with their three pups!

Kari is an elementary school teacher. She lives in Corvallis with her husband, Jonathan, who is a firefighter. Kari stays at home with her two kids Henry and Maddie. Kari is thrilled to have add another fire wife to the family!

Kaiti is an elementary school teacher. She and her husband, Mark, just welcomed their baby girl, Emmerson, to the family. Mark will be the officiant at the wedding, he is like a brother to MaryKate and they are so excited to have him in the wedding.

Carly is groom's younger sister. Like many other members of this bridal party, she attended Western Oregon University. Carly works with her dad at Maletis Beverage. MaryKate is so excited to have another sister!

Emily and MaryKate met at Western Oregon University. Emily is also a nurse, and works at Oregon Reproductive Medicine. She married her husband Nick last summer, these two are great friends of the bride and groom.

Madeline and MaryKate met in nursing school. They spent a lot of time car pooling to Portland for school and clinical. After graduating, the two were roommates in Salem when they both started working for Salem Hospital.

Hannah and MaryKate met in nursing school. It wasn't long before the two became close friends. They have since stayed in touch and enjoy planning yearly girls trip to reconnect. The pair have traveled with their nursing gals from San Diego to Cabo!

Nicole and MaryKate met in nursing school. Nicole now lives in Tacoma, making those yearly girls trip so important! Though the girls miss seeing Nicole as often, once they reconnect it's like nothing has changed.

Tanner and Gary work together at McMinnville Fire Department. Outside of work they spend a lot of time together hunting and drinking beer. Tanner is an EMT and firefighter, they both also volunteer for the Amity Fire Department.
