Our Wedding

We first met on the campus of Stonehill College in the fall of 2017. As much as we wish we had some great, meet cute college story, ours starts with the mystery of which blonde, long-haired, division 2 athlete threw a wine bottle over a crowded courtyard. Allegedly it was me, Marykay. However, Kyle is the lucky duck who got blamed. Feeling terrible that Kyle took one for the team, I found him the next day in the cafeteria to apologize. Now... this is where we'd love to say our meet cute starts, but unfortunately the apology came with an icy acceptance. This ensued a semester full of glances, sometimes glares, and overall curiosity. Fast forward to January 2018 and we're back on campus. This time Kyle was sporting a new short haircut. This took me about a day to notice and appreciate. For a few weeks we continued to share glances but hadn't quite crossed paths. Then on a Thursday night in April, we finally have our version of a meet cute at Owen O'leary's. Kyle was already at the bar with friends, when I came through the front doors. With probably two too many Budlight Platinums in my system, I walked straight up to the group. With nothing planned, but some quick thinking, I took Kyle, and we danced! A few days later Kyle planned a small picnic for our first date. A few weeks later I graduated from Stonehill and needed to make one last trip home to Minnesota before moving to Boston. Kyle offered to join for the road trip. Not taking him seriously, I said yes, but as the day came Kyle hadn't backed down and next thing we knew, we were on the road. Because I was a broke college grad, and Kyle was a division 2 football player, finances for the trip were tight. We did the entire 23-hour drive in one go curtesy of energy drinks, Mariah Carey sing-a-longs, and endless laughter. It was in Minnesota that Kyle officially asked me to be his girlfriend. Which was a relief, because I had been telling people Kyle was my boyfriend for a few weeks. In 2020 we moved into our first apartment together in Boston. Thanks to COVID we both found ourselves in fully remote jobs and became inseparable. Next thing you know, we've moved twice and learned to always hire movers, we love the suburbs, and that we are so happy together. Soon it's the spring of 2023 and Kyle planned a picnic back at the spot from 2018. With a small illusion, Kyle was swiftly on his knee.... Now it's 2025 and we are happier, more in love than ever, and looking forward to giving March 8th a reason to be celebrated for the rest of our lives. Also, to clear up any confusion, it was definitely Kyle who threw the wine bottle!

Please use the attached link to access the room block. A shuttle will be available at the hotel. The shuttle will run to the venue for the ceremony, and will return for pick up at the end of the reception.
