We met on July 4th, 2019 on a party boat in Lewisville, TX. Mari, Maryn's sister, and Wes, were getting married on July 6th, so naturally, a big fourth of July celebration was in order! Will knew Mari and Wes from Texas A&M, and he was singing at their ceremony. Little did he know that Mari even had a sister...

We talked for a long time on the boat knowing that we were both very interested at the end of the day. Will then proceeded to follow Maryn around the next few days during the rehearsal dinner and wedding, trying to make sure he didn't say her name wrong... it's a tough one, we all know it. After the wedding, he built up the courage to ask Maryn on a date, even though he was traveling to Colorado the next day and we lived in different cities. She said yes, and they proceeded to go on their first date that next Monday, July 8th.

After a year and a half, lots of hours driving on I-45, plenty of hours FaceTiming, and many sacrifices, we got engaged on February 5th, 2021. It was the most God-honoring and joy-filled day! Maryn had absolutely no clue, but it was her greatest joy to say "Yes." Our families we're there and we celebrated big with friends after.

We can't wait to walk along each other the rest of our days, serving the Lord and building each other up through the covenant of marriage. "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken." Ecclesiastes 4: 9-12
