Flights:

-Allegiant Air: Provides direct flights from Bismarck, Fargo, Rapid City, Sioux Falls, and other Midwest cities. Allegiant flies into Mesa-Gateway Airport which is the closest to our house and wedding location (20 minutes). Allegiant Air is typically the cheapest flights to Arizona as long as you book them in advance. This is the airline you are probably going to want to book through since it is the cheapest and a direct flight. When booking with Allegiant, you are allowed one free personal bag (backpack size). You can also pay extra for a carry-on or checked bag. The cheapest way to travel with Allegiant is by not checking a bag and only purchasing a carry-on bag (unless you check one bag for several people). Also, to save money, don't purchase your seat and let them assign you a seat when you check in. I highly recommend purchasing the trip insurance when you book your flight. With insurance, you can cancel your flight or change the flights and get a refund without any cancellation fees. If you don't purchase the insurance and something comes up, you have to pay a $75 cancellation fee.

-Sky Harbor Airport: If you decide to book with any other airline besides Allegiant Air, you will be flying into Sky Harbor Airport, which is in downtown Phoenix and is approximately 1 hour from our house and wedding venue.

Car Rental/Uber:

-Both airports have the option of renting a vehicle. I would suggest not book your rental car with your flight because you can usually get a cheaper rental car if you book it separately. Also, if you do not want to rent a car Uber and Lyft have reasonable prices in the area. If you are getting and Uber or Lyft ride from Sky Harbor Airport, you should be able to schedule one from your phone with your location set to the airport. If you are using Uber or Lyft from Mesa-Gateway Airport, it will not let you have curbside pickup at the airport because of some contracting issue with the local cabs there. However, if you simply walk across the street off of airport property and schedule an Uber or Lyft pickup, you should be able to because the GPS will recognize you are not on airport property anymore.
