In April of 2021, what began as a simple suggestion around a campfire would quietly set the stage for Sara and Mason’s story. While celebrating on Mason’s brother’s bachelor trip, the groomsmen asked Mason who he planned to bring as his date to his brother Cole’s upcoming wedding. When he admitted he hadn’t decided, the group proposed a match: Sara. Their brothers believed the two would get along perfectly—and they were right. Their first official date became the rehearsal dinner, followed by their second at the wedding itself. For Sara, Mason immediately stood out. He was outgoing, full of energy, and spent the night dancing with enthusiasm. Despite knowing very few people, Sara quickly felt at ease in his company. Mason, on the other hand, remembers meeting Sara as the moment he noticed her quiet sweetness and kind spirit. To this day, he insists it was love at first sight. Over the next three years, their relationship continued to grow. When Sara was accepted into physical therapy school, she moved from Baton Rouge to Shreveport, beginning a new chapter that would test their commitment. What followed was another two years of long-distance, marked by weekend visits, long phone calls, and a shared determination to support each other’s dreams. Throughout it all, Mason has always admired Sara’s dedication to the things she cares about—her hardworking nature, attention to detail, and the genuine kindness that defines her. Sara, in turn, loves Mason’s joyful spirit and the way he encourages her to step outside her comfort zone, reminding her to relax and trust the process. Now, after years of growing together through new cities, busy schedules, and many miles apart, the two are preparing for their next chapter—this time in the same place. What began as a blind date arranged by their brothers has come full circle, and in August they will gather with the people they love most to begin their life together.
