Our Story...

It depends who you ask. If you ask Mason, he will tell you that I looked grumpy and he needed to save me. If you ask me, Brittany, I was minding my own business when he approached my table and wanted to talk.

In July 2018, I (Brittany), decided to join a running group at Fargo Brewing Company. One of my coworkers, Jane, mentioned that it was fun and a good way to meet new people and run... FOR BEER. It was the second time I went that I met Mason. I remember before starting one of the runs, in August I believe, Jane introduced me to Mason. After I said hi and what not, I told Jane that I thought he was cute. Soon after running, we all gathered in the brewery and shared drinks and laughs. Mason came over to the table I was at by the end of the night and started talking to me. You could say we "hit it off".

We exchanged some questions and answers back and forth. After awhile, Mason suggested running again sometime. Before I left, I asked for his number. He makes sure to tell everyone that I was the one that got his number.

Soon, Tueday's were a thing. We were religious about going, maybe because we would see each other? That was the case for me. Eventually, he asked me on a date.. Our first official date was in December at Crooked Pint. It was great, he was great. Unfortunately, I called it off after the date because I was scared. Our friends, Christy and Pam, never let me live it down. They knew we were meant to be, even when I didn't.

We remained friends the whole time until things kinda came together again in early May of 2019. We ran a half marathon together around Lake Minnetonka. I realized then that I was most comfortable with Mason.. He was the perfect gentlemen. We had so much fun and I wanted to keep having fun... So, we tried it again.

And here we are..

We have been together 2 and a half years officially and 3 years unofficially (ha!). We live together in Fargo with 4 dogs - Bailey, Lola, Lilly, and Hank (and we could never forget about our late Paxton). Mason is caring, quick witted (drives me nuts), and gentle. He makes sure that I am happy and takes care of me when I am sick or sad. I can't imagine my life without him.

He proposed to me on a hike at Maplewood State Park. The guy that would tell me that "you and your husband are going to have a good life" proposed to me! It was the best moment ever and we both couldn't be any happier.

To Mason: "You're my favorite. My favorite pair of eyes to look into. My favorite name to see appear on my phone. My favorite way to spend an afternoon. You're my favorite everything."
