Our story started back in high school, in Spanish class. Olivia used to spend her study hall hanging out in her favorite teacher’s room, and Mason had class there at the same time. We didn’t talk much, but we crossed paths pretty often. It was one of those things where we were just kind of in the same space, day after day, without thinking much of it. Funny how something so casual ended up being the start of everything..

About a year later, we crossed paths again. This time in the most random spot. Someone’s garage during a last-minute boxing match between a few of our friends. It was loud, unplanned, and kind of chaotic, but it ended up being the first time we actually talked and got to know each other a little. After that night, we started texting, and eventually hanging out. There wasn’t some big, dramatic moment, things just kind of fell into place. One conversation turned into a bunch, and it all just felt easy.

On January 22nd, 2019 after a Butler High School basketball game we made it official. That first year was full of all the fun, new-relationship stuff: late-night texts, nervous excitement, and feeling like everything meant something. We were figuring it all out as we went, just enjoying each other and not overthinking anything. It was simple and sweet, and looking back, there was something really special about how it all started.

2023 was a year of milestones. Mason graduated college, marking the end of one chapter and the start of another. We celebrated not just his achievement, but everything it took to get there—the late nights, the hard work, and the way we supported each other through it all.

We brought home the sweetest addition to our little family—our golden retriever, Ace. Instantly, he became our shadow, our adventure buddy, and the piece of home we didn’t know we were missing.

This year has been all about navigating life as full-time adults—balancing work, responsibilities, and learning what it means to be dog parents. We found joy in the simple routines: morning walks with Ace, post-work dinner dates, and finding time for each other in the midst of busy weeks.

It wasn’t always easy, but it was real—and full of quiet, meaningful moments that kept drawing us closer. Through every long day and new challenge, we kept showing up for each other with love, patience, and grace.

This year has definitely been one for the books. Mason proposed in January, and since then, things have started to feel more real than ever. While there’s been some planning and figuring things out, what stands out most is how focused we are on the future—on building a life together.

It’s not just about the wedding day itself, but everything that comes after. Every step we take reminds us how far we’ve come and how excited we are to take on whatever’s next, together. And we cannot wait to celebrate with you.
