Jacob and Matéa first met as sixth graders at Evans Middle School. They shared the same schedule, with the only difference being the electives, where Jacob famously took up trumpet in the band and Matéa participated in the school choir. In math class, they sat close to each other and developed their first crushes on each other. Throughout middle school, they found their crowds. Then in high school, they parted ways, Jacob attended John Paul II High School, and Matéa attended McKinney High. Though apart, social media brought them together. They kept tabs on each other via Instagram, where Jacob posted links to his music junior year. Matéa curiously listened and found great intellect and heart in his words. To congratulate him on his beautiful music, Matéa commented on his latest post. Within seconds, Jacob messaged her striking up a conversation that grew over a month of friendship, then turned into love. On October 27th, 2014, after school on a Monday, Matéa and Jacob walked to Winnaford park, a sacred meet in the middle spot. When they first saw each other, they ran to hug, finally seeing the person they fell for over the phone for the first time again. A few days later, Jacob attended Matéas football game on Halloween, where she performed as a McKinney Marquette with red roses in hand. This was the first bouquet Matéa had received from a boy, so she saved a bud from that bouquet and has it still. They attended all the school dances together, including both their Senior proms and Jacobs junior prom. They were at each others graduations. They stuck together through loss, hardship, growth, and prosperity. Time has given them the greatest gift of growing individually together (if that makes sense lol). They have a lot of love for each other and are OVER THE MOON excited to spend their special day with you. (-:
