Levi and Matilyn’s story started in a pretty unexpected way.

On November 10, 2019, Matilyn first learned who Levi was after seeing a Christmas card her mom had received from Levi’s family. Their moms worked together, and that small connection led Matilyn to reach out to Levi on social media. Levi, however, didn’t quite pick up on the fact that she might be interested.

A few months later, in March 2020, their paths crossed again when Levi’s mom, Melanie, ran into Matilyn’s mom, Lori, at Costco. While their moms caught up, Levi and Matilyn exchanged a shy glance, both aware of each other, but still just on the edge of something more.

As time went on, their communication started to grow. Eventually, Levi caught on, and things began to fall into place. When the COVID-19 lockdown hit, traditional dates weren’t possible, so they made the best of it with FaceTime dates, getting to know each other from a distance.

Finally, on June 1, 2020, they were able to see each other in person. Not long after, on June 25, they officially started dating.

From there, their relationship continued to grow into something strong and meaningful. Through every challenge and milestone, they built a partnership rooted in trust, support, and love.

On January 11, 2024, on a very cold night during a ruck, Levi asked Matilyn to marry him at Sailboard Beach. She said yes and the rest is history.
