Matt and Soli met in May of 2021 at a meet-and-greet in Dallas for incoming BYU students. The rest of that year, Matt and Soli were good friends at college and Matt even "proposed" to Soli during the summer. In 2022, Matt and Soli left BYU to serve as missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brazil and Arizona, respectively.

During their missions, they didn't talk at all and had all but forgotten about each other. However, upon returning from their missionary service, Matt and Soli got set up on a not-so-blind "blind date" by a family friend and reconnected. And, as the kids say, "the rest is history." Matt and Soli love each other so much and are committed to doing so forever. They can't wait to continue building their forever family on May 17th, 2025!
