Our story began in 2021 when we met online and Matt, with his usual charming humour, introduced himself by saying to Sarah “So, now that we matched on Tinder, what’s next, a Vegas wedding or something more local?” Sarah jokingly responded with a Vegas wedding. Fast forward two years and it turns out we wanted a local wedding after all!

We had our first date shortly after new years of 2021 and met at the Henderson Lake/Japanese Gardens and went for a walk in the freezing cold. It was probably -30 degrees that day but we immediately had so much fun getting to know each other that the cold didn’t phase us. We talked for hours and didn’t want the date to end. We both knew instantly we were meant for each other. We fell more in love with each other everyday, becoming even more inseparable after Sarah met Matt’s daughter Dahlia and the two of them instantly formed a special bond.

In September of 2022, we went on a vacation to Mexico and Matt booked a photographer to take professional photos together on the beach - at least thats what Sarah thought the photos were for. However, Matt had much bigger plans to propose to Sarah during the photoshoot and of course...she said yes!! During this trip we were already so excited about being engaged and getting married that we had our venue already picked out before leaving Mexico. We knew there was no better place for us to tie the knot than where our whole story began, at the Japanese Gardens.

So here we are, now coming full circle and getting married at a very special place to us and we are so thankful and blessed for all of our family and friends that are able to celebrate with us on our special day!
