Our Wedding

Our story started in May 2016 when our two paths crossed through mutual friends. That summer was filled with a million laughs and memories. From there our friendship and relationship bloomed. We have always found a way to make each other laugh and smile no matter what is going on. Some of our favorite things to do include board game nights with friends, trying new restaurants, and having movie nights. In 2018 we moved to Carson City, Nevada for Matt to start with Les Schwab and go through the training process for management. Although we both got to celebrate differently, Matt &amp; I both got to celebrate turning 21 in Carson. In January of 2020, we welcomed our wild boy who has added the perfect amount of spunk to our lives. He keeps us on our toes, makes us question our sanity and laugh with love daily. By September 2020 we moved to Longmont, Colorado. Here we really grew together just us three, we explored so many new places and soaked in the amazing views. We went to our first MLB game and watched our Diamondbacks beat the Rockies. In 2022 to we moved back to Ontario, Oregon where we got some much-needed family time and got to experience all the small-town things we had missed. Matt learned a lot and grew even more through Les Schwab leading to his promotion in September of 2023 moving us to Sparks, Nevada. Over the last several years we have been through some of the best and hardest times, but we have always had each other. We have lost some amazing people in our lives, that taught us just how important time and loved ones are. Moving to different states so often (Thanks Les Schwab) has made us remember to stop and enjoy each moment and experience as much as we can because we never know where we will be going next. We have always been fans of new adventures and good times. So, here's to this next adventure! The proposal: May 25, 2024: How'd Matt pull it off? The moment that had us all shocked.Matt and I were out to dinner to celebrate our 8 years together. Matt had picked a local Brazilian restaurant Churrasco's and made reservations. We laughed and talked about all that we had been through in these 8 years. After dinner and before dessert Matt pulled out the ring and asked, "How about Forever?" and of course I said, "YES, About Damn Time!!" We laughed, enjoyed our cheesecake and the rest of the beautiful night. The Wedding: October 19, 2024: VEGAS BABY!The on-going joke was that we were always going to run away to Vegas and just get married, so we made it a reality. We picked the Mon Bel Ami chapel near Freemont Street, a beautiful and quiet little outdoor chapel. We then ate and drank our fill and soaked in this moment of just us two, finally together as one. I am so thankful each and every day that I have my best friend by my side, through all the adventures we have shared and the memories yet to be made. Our circle has grown over the years and we've added so many wonderful people into our lives. Our reception is a thank you to all of you who have been a part of our lives no matter the length and helped us to grow. So please join us in celebrating this marriage that has been a long time coming! We love each of you and can't wait to see you all.
