We were introduced to one another through a mutual friend- thanks Cliff! With us living so far apart (Matt in the San Francisco Bay Area and Beth in Minneapolis), getting to know one another posed some obvious challenges. But after many late night calls on the phone and Zoom, we decided to meet for the first time in Minneapolis in June of 2023. It was exciting, and a bit nerve wrecking, seeing each other face-to-face for the first time after communicating for so long from a distance. But it was clear that night we first “met”, we shared a deep connection. And it soon became clear (at least for Matt) that marriage was not far ahead.

But the timing was something we wanted to leave in God’s hands. Throughout our relationship, it was God who faithfully led us every step of the way. And after 10 months of going between CA and MN almost every 6 weeks, He opened the door for us to get married. On the evening of March 29th in Minneapolis, we officially got engaged (and yes Matt got down on one knee).

We thank you all for your support throughout our relationship and look forward to celebrating the day of our union in Christ with all of you!
