Knoxville will be the closest and most convenient airport (around an hour away and uber/lyft is available).
For a better chance at direct flights, but requiring a further drive, Charlotte (3.5 hours), Atlanta (4 hours), and Nashville (3.5 hours) are also options for larger airports.
How should I get to Gatlinburg from Knoxville?
Uber and lyft drive from the Knoxville airport out to Gatlinburg! Car rentals from your traditional rental options as well as cars from Turo are also available at the Knoxville airport. Reach out to us if you need a ride from the airport or if you would like to group up with other couples/friends to split the car! Parking spots are limited at the cabin.
What is the dress code?
Please wear semi-formal for our wedding on Saturday. Khakis/slacks, sport coat, and boots (or something similar) and dresses would be appreciated. Nice jeans and a button down or business casual would be perfect for dinner on Friday night.
The rest of the weekend will be more relaxed! Whether that is hiking, spending time in town, visiting the bars downtown, watching some Fightin Texas Aggie Football, or hanging out at the cabin - pack for your comfort :)
*Bring swimsuits for the hottubs!*
Do I need to book a hotel?
You do not! Our cabin sleeps 88 and we are expecting around 60 people, so everyone will have a bed reserved for them at the cabin Thursday - Sunday. If you would prefer to stay off-site, there are many hotels in Gatlinburg that would be great options.
What do I need to bring?
Bring your lovely selves! Don't forget: nice clothes for the ceremony and dinners, lounging clothes, swimsuits, toiletries, any specific drinks or snacks that you love.
We will have plenty of "traditional" beer, wine, liquor, non-alcoholic drinks, coffee, and snacks for the weekend though!
Are there bears?
Yes! Gatlinburg has a lot of local bears and they are known to visit the cabin every now and then to check out the party! Please do not leave ANY food in your cars and make sure your cars are locked at all times. Please do not try to pet the bears. ;)
