Our Wedding

Matt and Rachel met on Hinge (a dating app) in May 2021. Matt had just moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina from California where he was previously stationed working in the army. Rachel had been living in Durham, North Carolina where she was teaching 4th grade in Chapel Hill. They matched in May when Rachel made the first move and responded to one of Matt's prompts that talked about wanting someone who will cook with him and help clean up (little did Rachel know she would be doing all the cooking ◡̈ ). The two talked for about a month before meeting in person for the first time in June. Matt drove an hour and a half to Durham where they went to Trader Joes to shop and get ingredients to make dinner together (Rachel wound up doing all the cooking). The two immediately clicked and got along like they had known each other for months. Ever since that weekend, Matt did that same hour and a half drive every weekend for 2 years until they moved in with each other in June 2023. There has been a lot of laughs, deployments, and love between the two of them and they can't wait to celebrate with you all at their wedding! ♡♡♡

This is Matt and Rachel's favorite brewery that they went to in Durham. This is the Raleigh location (~25 min. from hotels). The pizza goes great with the beer! There are also a lot of local breweries closer to the hotels. Feel free to explore and let us know your favorites!

Ponysaurus Brewing Co.

A bit of a drive (~30 min. from hotels) but this is the BEST spot for brunch. Matt and Rachel went here (the Durham location) after they got engaged.
